Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis is vital for almost all corals and plants, but not every light is suitable for this. Specific parts of the spectrum are in fact needed, in particular the wavelengths required by Chlorophyll A and Chlorophyll B, since these are the most dominant forms of chlorophyll in corals and plants.

Accelerated growth and improved colors

The Maxspect Razor is designed to offer all parts of the color spectrum required for corals and plants to enhance their growth and improve their color. Available in three different models, 8,000, 10,000K and 16,000K color temperature, the Maxspect R420r will meet the requirements of even the most advanced group of seawater and freshwater aquarists.

Smart cooling

The Maxspect Razor LED fixture is designed to be cooled primarily passively. The body of the Razor is made entirely of aluminum and therefore serves as a large heat sink. Combined with an ingenious aerodynamic design, cool air passes between the cooling fins via the bottom of the fixture, so that the heat is dissipated.

The Razor also has active cooling, controlled by a temperature controller. As soon as the luminaire becomes too hot, active cooling is switched on to guarantee optimum performance and operation. This happens relatively little under normal circumstances and the Razor is therefore one of the quietest fixtures in the market.

Lighting period

Users can program their own lighting period with 6 time settings and have full control over the intensity of the light, from sunrise to sunset
